What a year it has been at the studio! 2021 has been a pillar for growth, expansion, and upward movement this year. We are all getting back up on our feet and moving towards a more positive and empowering direction. That's right! It's nothing but moving UP and stretching out our wings. SO, are you ready for all the amazing that came out of 2021?! 

We are super excited to reveal this year's boudoir FAVORITES! What were the trends? Which colors were most popular? What was the motivation for getting a boudoir photoshoot? We have the answers so buckle up! 

Favorite Lingerie Choice of the year! 

Drum roll….Straps are IN! 

That's right, ladies and gents! Strappy lingerie with buckles and extra hooks takes the cake out of all the outfits our ladies wore this year! We love this trend because it directly reflects your comfort level and self-confidence. To step into any sexy lingerie can be a feat of its own. To step...or strap yourself into something a little bit more "extra" shows the badass woman in you who is NOT afraid to be powerful! Strappy is one of our personal favorites. You can get them in one to multiple-piece sets and in just about any color. This is a powerful look and screams, "I am here! I am strong, sensual, and fierce!" I mean, just look at this badass woman!

Accessory of the Year!

Oh, do we have a trend for you! What was the most common accessory our ladies brought to their boudoir photoshoots? Handcuffs baby!! Yeah, you heard right! Our ladies were NOT playing around! Or maybe they were…

Handcuffs were absolutely the most popular accessory this year! There is nothing sexier than a beautiful woman posed in handcuffs. Believe it or not, cuffs say a lot about self-confidence. Don't be mistaken...The message being sent is not "I am imprisoned, I am weak, I am in chains." The real message is something more powerful. "I will let you think of me as something you can take...because these chains are not holding me back; I am holding these chains together". SEXY right?! The cuffs are a symbol of a woman's strength. Her will cannot be chained. Her will is free, but oaf, look at her! 

Is it getting HOT in here, or is it just us?! Strappy lingerie, handcuffs, 2021 has been on FIRE!!! 

Most Popular Color Choices! 

The most popular color choices of 2021 have to be hands down Red, Black, and ready for this surprise? Emerald Green! That's right, ladies and gents, Emerald City, has nothing on her brilliance! This pop of color works very well on all hair colors. Whether you have dark luscious hair or brilliant blonde, rich emerald green has been an excellent complementary color for all skin and hair shades. Green has taken over this year by storm, and we absolutely love it! Hail to this majestic Queen!

Green was definitely the surprise color of the year. Still, we can't fail to mention this returning favorite color choice for our ladies, and it's Red Hot!!! 

Red has been hands down the hottest lingerie color this year, and we are not surprised why! The women who have been coming through our doors have been slaying it! These ladies mean business and bring out that passionate, daring RED to showcase their inner flames. Red. The symbolism of confidence, strength, and passion. These women love and allow themselves to embrace their sensuality as strength. There is no other color that can match the color of passion! Look at her. Powerful, sensual, daring…

In the words of The Rolling Stones, our last lingerie color of the year is ready to be slipped on, and "they're all painted black…."

Black. Such a seductive and sensual color. Throughout history, black has been the number one bestseller collectively for lingerie, regardless of style or era. There is just something about black that creates a look of sophistication, sexiness, and beauty. Little black dress? Black tuxedo? Staple black heels? How about a black long sleeve for an outing. Black has been the go-to color for just about every special occasion, and we are NOT surprised to see it for the most popular lingerie colors of 2021! Want a classy look? Turn to black. Want a sexy look? Get that black! Want to look timeless, professional, sensual, smoking?! BLACK, BLACK, BLACK! 

Somebody turn up the A.C. because these 2021 trends are packing some serious HEAT! 

We have lingerie trends, color palettes, and accessory favorites! But what are the ladies wearing on their tootsies?! Heels? Stockings? Commando boots?! Guess again! Next on our trend list is something...barer. That's right, folks! Stockings and heels were NOT the go-to! It was all about a more natural look, showcasing beautiful pointed bare feet and bare legs. This look brings out the natural beauty of our ladies' beautiful long legs and soft feet. There is nothing like a long length of pure skin with a touch of lace…

Without stockings or heels, the focus is on her lingerie and natural features. Yes, stockings and heels are beautiful, but the eye might bounce from one area to the next (trust us, we are NOT saying that is a bad thing!), while bare skin will have your eyes flow throughout her body. 

Need a water break?! WE sure do! But that was not what our ladies wanted this year! Coming in next for the most popular trends in 2021 is rosé champagne! Our ladies favored our signature sparkling pink champagne. What else could possibly make you feel more pampered? A tall glass of champagne while my hair and makeup are done for me? Yes, please! It was all about that rosé this year! Cheers, ladies, you deserve every drop!

Let's talk makeup. Makeup is paramount to bringing a look to fruition. Was this year all about being bold? Loud? Colorful? Three strikes, you're out! This year's makeup trend was not about that pop of color or making loud statements. This year favored a natural look. Redefined eyebrows. Simple, natural makeup. That "fresh out of bed" look was THE makeup style for 2021. It was not about jewelry or flashy additions. Just simple, classy, bare you. Soft-curled free hair with natural makeup expressing your natural beauty. Stunning.

Tsssszz...  Hear that sizzle?! This trend celebration is FIRE! Alright, here we go, people! Favorite location to shoot! And this may be hidden, under the sheets …

All About Those SHEETS!!! Our ladies LOVED our classic nudes in white sheets! Nothing screams natural beauty than a shot of you with nothing but a beautiful white sheet laying atop a golden four-post bed. Do we have to speak for ourselves…?

No lingerie, no accessories. Just you. Sheets were definitely the number 1 this year, and it doesn't look like it's going to change any time soon! Here, your beauty is 100% you. Our bedroom shots are classic. You don't need lingerie to feel sexy and beautiful. You are beautiful in the very skin you're in. Nothing else is needed. I'd think you would agree…

And Pose. Yas, Girl!!

Favorite pose for 2021!! Well, what was it? None other than our famous bodyscapes, of course! Ready to redefine the word beauty? Amber is known and sought out our black and white professional bodyscape nudes. A dark canvas with your body as the only light source, showcasing your sensual figure. Need we say more?

Bodyscapes bring that extra wow factor and are usually one of the leading reasons our ladies sought us out for their very own boudoir photoshoot. Curves you can just make out while your mind does the rest. Even making out the faint trace of goosebumps from being in the free open air. Raw, you. It doesn't get any sexier than that, ladies and gents!

Color or Black & White? 

It was all about that color! Many ladies were surprised at how many color shots they loved when they thought they wanted only black and white. Want the best of both worlds? Imagine this. To capture the love and passion between you and your spouse or romantic partner. Couples boudoir shoots are IN and all the rage! We are SO excited to be bringing this specialized boudoir session to our studio!

It doesn't stop there! We have a few more fun trends we would like to share! Working with the many ladies who have walked through our studio doors has been such a privilege. Saying this, we would like to pay a special thank you to our veteran ladies who continue to show us what true beauty and self-love are all about.
